I'm feeling sad these days because of a very close friend of mine who has Cancer of the Bones. She was treated for Cervical Cancer year 2009, and just recently, she experienced severe lower back pains. She submitted herself to a bone scan and learned that she has the disease again at Stage 4! The sad thing is that she has 2 kids, 4 and 5 years old. I'm about to visit her tonight and I've been thinking of what to say to her because she is in a soft spot right now. This is something new to me. If you were in my place, what would you say or do?

If I were you, I will treat her normally. I wont make her feel bad by treating her like she is dying already. I am sure she does not want any pity from anyone else. Just be there for your friend.

Yes, I'm sure she doesn't want pity. What she needs right now is a friend who will be there for her through thick and thin. Thank you jennbart!

That was really sad stories. I know how you truly feel. The best thing you can do is give her a support and encouragement. Tell her that you are proud of her for fighting the cervical cancer. Include her in your prayer all the time, thats the best thing that you can do for her.
