I am feeling a little down today because my oldest is staying home from school again. She missed classes yesterday and when she woke up this morning, she was no better. I hate letting her miss school especially when Easter break is just around the corner, but with the way that she is feeling, I just can't bring myself to force her to go. Do you have children? Do they get sick a lot? Would you keep your child home? Why or why not? Do you think that sometimes it is best to make your child go regardless of how they are feeling? Why or why not?

I don't have children as I'm not married but if I have child not feeling well I would have the choice of bringing him to the doctor to be checked if possible. If it's nothing serious it may be well to help the child psychologically since most illness is not felt by the body but with the mind. A gentle way of speaking to the child may help sooth any unfavorable feeling such as stress or letting the child play games she enjoy so things will be nice and she feel strong enough to return to school. It is not something that is hard to do in exchange for her recovery.

It's really sad when our kid misses their class esp when vacation is almost there.
My kids are not sickly, but there are times that they really misses school/class time when not feeling well.
Sometimes they forced their selves to attend class esp when they're going to have exams, and then coming home earlier than the closing time.
I hope your kid is doing fine now
