Well, I have been working for like 8 years already... I have had encounters with people who are way top in the management, even regional officers and seriously i have not known that someone who is close to retiring age, is not even appreciative of the efforts of his people...
This morning, i got a text (sms) from my boss, which asked me about a lot of the stuffs he needed for his presentation... an answer i replied to his questions will be replied back with another question! and it took me about an hour or more of being unproductive because i had to go through a lot of files, look back, etc... and... after his meeting... nadah!
I did not even get to hear from him, coming back to his office he never said anything and not even something to tell me he is thankful for the help... (after all, he was not prepared for his meeting, and these files are available to him)
he is really disappointing... to his one downs. no wonder all his people are resigning - he's such a slave driver and never did say thanks not even thank you in its short cut form.. TNX. Was it really hard for someone as "high"as yourself to say thanks to people who works really hard?
Oh well.. i guess i just want to rant about this day.. im really burning... and counting the days, im leaving anyway. its not that i want to be appreciated, but i needed to just know that my boss won't leave me in the dark when something come up. I have heard he's done it before even telling everyone else in the meeting that it was his staff's fault!
Thank you everyone for reading =)

Oh, i commiserate with you for having such a bossy and ungrateful boss! It's good that you are finally leaving him. He doesn't deserve you.
Working is not only for the money. It's mostly for the satisfaction we have for our superiors who knows how to give credit when it is due.
I am lucky, my lady boss is a wonderful boss. She would sometimes give us money, when her own business has big collections. She would appreciate our nice works and even tells everyone about it. What's so nice about her still . . .if we need to send a big amount of money for my daughter's school needs she is ever ready to lend us anytime. What's more. . . she treats us to outings too and gives us gifts on Christmas and birthdays!

Oh how I can relate, and the people who never really are doing any of the work are the ones that are often praised, and it makes you feel really low and insecure. This continues to be one of the main problems I have actually continued to see at a couple of the different jobs I have worked in my lifetime, and where I am at now, and after almost 5 yrs. enough is enough. I know the day I give my notice will be worth it all for sure.

hello to you. it could really sting when the boss does not know how to appreciate. there truly exists types of bosses who can be unbearable. in my case, i always give them the benefit of the doubt because if the subordinates have pressure, they are more pressured.
there is nothing left to do but to leave when one is not happy anymore with his or her job. good luck to you.
