[this is a silly but witty fantasy thread, if this discussion is too weird for your taste, dont respond] I just remember watching a movie about a boy trapped inside his favorite movie, it makes me think it would be cool to talk about. Lets say you will be able to live in a dimension where your favorite fictional world is the world. Lets say your favorite comicbook, movie, comics,Novel or Tv sitcom.. A world where your favorite characters are real and not some illustration in a comicbook or character being portrayed by an actor. A world where you can talk tot he characters of your favorite piece of fiction. if you are there, would you try to interfere with the story since you are there? which characters would you like to interact with?

If I was in a fictional world, I would probably want to be in the Harry Potter world. However, I would be one of those oblivious students who don't really know much about the stuff going on around her and just trying hard to pass the subjects. XD Of course, I would know about Harry; he's the school celebrity after all. I probably would have never had the opportunity to talk to him and would have my own circle of friends. Boring? Well, that's my boarding school story for you. It's the setting I'm after, not really the drama of the series. Who wouldn't want to be able to use magic and be in a school where it's the norm?

I Think The wold of harry potter will be fun to live with as long as you wont encounter Voldemort and the other villains. yeah just play safe and be one of the regular students who just want to past examination, Making friends with Harry might put you in a lot of trouble... I know adventures are fun but being killed off is not.

Who knows those unmentioned characters must have more stories to offer or maybe their adventures are also cool but they happen to lay low. Who knows there might be some magic spells there that is never mentioned in the books or showed on the movie. Plus aside from hogwarts there must be something different int he society of the "mortal world" there.

Totally, but I'm sure I can have my own adventures. It's a world of magic; what's NOT possible? I'm sure you can take any student of Hogwarts and each one of them would have their own fantastic story to tell. The main characters just had the best ones. I just got this really weird idea in my head writing that. Each student of Hogwarts was made to write their story of their seven years at school and only Harry's got chosen and is now the seven books we all know and love. XD I would probably want to read Luna Lovegood's story if that was the case.

Oh I would be in a mythical land for sure. Perhaps the Xanth series by Pier Anthony. A land of tongue and cheek humor. Though I guess if it where to make my children happy I would say the world of Harry Potter And I must admit having a house elf to clean up my home wouldn't be all that bad.

if you are in harry Potter are you going to try to be a wizard, what soveiners you will take with you if ever you wanted to comeback to our realm. I'm not familiar with Xanth series but I have a feeling there will be knights and dragons.

Yes Xanth has Knights and dragons but as I said things are tongue and cheek for example one of the titles is A Crewel Lye. I would want to be a Wizard and I would want my magic if I could bring anything back. They can do so much that I would like to be able to do, nothing crazy just the everyday things. I wouldn't mind being able to swish a wand and have my cleaning done or the dog bathed. Being able to expand my house would be nice to as we have totally out grown this little house

I just had a crazy idea on my head, I want to be in the favorite soap opera of my girlfriend, I will make friends with the villainess and help her kill the protagonist so the show will be cancelled. I hate that show..... A magic wand and a magic broom for sure will be very useful. Imagine going to the grocery with a magic broom. Though I like the fantasy going on with Xanths, I might pass because I dont want to be a dragon's dinner. I think at harry Potter, I will stay in the safe parts, have a shopping at hogwarts then leave before Lord Voldemort shows up.

I am a big fan of David Eddings and his books. The Belgarid series and the Malloreon series in particular. My favorite character in these books is Lady Polgara affectionately known as Aunt Pol to the main character Garion or later to be known as Belgarion. Lady Polgara is a force that keeps the characters in line as one of the Matriarch's of the family. She is also a powerful Sorceress. Her healing skills using herbs is wonderful as is her cooking ability. If I could slip away and be my favorite character it would be Lady Polgara. I do not think I would interfere with the plot the way Eddings has it written.

so you will just let things be and not dare to ruin the story's continuity? so would you like to stay there for good or do just want to experience it in flesh and goes back to your current life? Are you gonna make friends with certain characters?

Well, I am huge fan of Stephen King, I have read all of his novels, and I think I will like to in the world of Salem's lot. The story is about a famous writer that goes back to his hometown, only to find out that everybody in his town had turned into vampires. I have always fantasized about being a vampire, eternal life---well you have to be careful, you don't want anybody going after you in broad daylight. I will not interfere with the story line, because is a good one, however, this time instead of being a vampire I will be the famous writer going back to town, but this time is going to be a woman and not a man. I will go vampire hunting, then, turned into one and go human hunting

Carrie's film adaptation have this very painful themesong: http://endlessvideo.com/watch?v=1IfFWBASb7I it really captures Carrie's life. she is not really an evil telekenetic psychopath, she just wanted to feel like she belongs. Carrie is like the only emotional horror novel/movie I know.

what a great idea something like the movie tron--i would like to live in StarWars--but here is the question is it possible since youare not an original charactr for you to die or do you get immortality--are you an observer--if you were okay but as an active participant would you change the whole story --I guess it would be like real time editing--kind of a neat idea if you can come and go and change stories

You are going to be there, its up to you if you just want to observe or try to make Princess lea and Luke Skywalker know they were siblings from the get go. You can join the war or stay in a safe place and try to meet some minor characters.
