There are so many different resources and avenues available. Where do you think we can find the best advice to solve our most perplexing problems? Where do you look? I really enjoy reading the Bible and finding practical principles out of it to benefit myself and my family. I also love reading self-help books to help with different problems I may be facing in my life. I think that talking with friends and family help as well because hearing others viewpoints shed a different light on things.

Not the Bible! Well, I would advise you to read the Bible; but NOT for advice! Read it more 'to learn how to USE/GIVE advice.' In old days (and maybe now, if conditions were different for me), I'd say 'your local Catholic Church'; because the answer that God would give would be exact-directions in finding the person who can give you the best advice, the person that the old Catholic church would've sent you to.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me :). I do greatly enjoy reading the Bible. It has great Bible principles that help me to give advice as well as apply in my life. I have always found principles I can apply whether it be for my personal success, my family life, or work ethics that I can benefit from.

You have actually answered the best way to get advices. I too think that the bible contains answers to questions we may not even realize we are asking. I read the bible when i'm sad and needing guidance. I also go to my family and friends if i need someone to talk to. But if your problems are really great and you don't have a good support system you can seek professional advices such as the psychologists or the counselors. They can be of good help because they are more objective in terms of giving advices.

i think for me, the best advice is to get it from someone i know who is not biased in his opinions. the one who is not influenced by any other things but his own perception. next would be my parents, because i think my family / parents would of course pray for me alongside the request of the advice asked from them. hehe

The bible is good but will be honest & admit i don't always understand what i'm reading. I like to talk to older fols but i'm older folks now, lol. I miss talking to my grandmother. She always gave me good advice, wasn't always what i wanted to hear. lol. She encouraged me in so many ways, the only one in my family that ever did. We never get too old to learn & i like listening to others talk about their experiences.

I think we find the best advice in different places or different people. There's no place for sure where you go to every time you need some good advice. For me, I go to 1 particular person for every situation that I'm dealing with and that's my best friend. But, I don't go to him every time because he doesn't know the answer to every question. Some people find advice through God, they open up a Bible and read a proverb and that proverb helps him through the day. There are different ways to find advice, we just have to find the ones that work for us.

well, there's nothing better than the holy bible when it comes to best advices.. but reading it alone is not enough..you'll need someone who has the spirit to open your mind..the bible is a "sealed book." not everyone who reads it can rightfully understand its contents..some who think they can explain the bible might be translating the bible on their own understanding and not on the context of it.. try to visit http://www.mcgi.org it can help you..ΓΌ
