Our annual teambuilding is scheduled this coming May 20-21, 2011 and I am having a second thought of attending. Actually, I would like to make a plea to excuse me from the activity because I will not surely enjoy it nor be a good companion for my officemates. I'm still haven't got over with the loss of my father and other financial concern is still bugging my mind. I can't help but cry just thinking of my father, I don't want to be there and just cry. Though I still manage to do my job efficiently, I still cannot help crying when we talk about fathers here in the office. Everytime, I talk of him make me realize how fortunate I was to have him as my father but the more I misses him and cried again. Someone in the office told me to attend the teambuilding activity since it will surely a leisure time for all of us. It may do good for me to recharge and to have a fresher outlook after the affair. If I were you, would you attend or not?

Your office mate is correct. You should go with the team building activities and enjoy it. Move on from your loss, and don't wallow in sadness. Overcome the urge of thinking about your deceased father. Mingle with people who can make you forget the loneliness and for a starter - join the team building !

Whatever choice you choose just don't forget to pray for your father's soul. Crying and being sad is just normal but always remember he is just with you.
