Some people should not have children. Among them are hopeless Facebook addicts.

Shannan Johnson is one such Facebook addict who left her 13 month old baby in the bathtub so she could play a Facebook game called Cafe World. The child had a seizure and died in the water. What made this worse for all parties concerned was that it was known to Shannon Johnson that the boy had a tendency to seizures and she was previously warned about leaving him alone in water.

For her crime of felony child abuse, Shanon Jonson will serve ten years in prison. The baby would have been a preteen when she comes out.

Unbelievable but true. She deserved being imprisoned and I think she should serve a lifetime imprisonment instead. How could she prioritize facebook over her own child? I can't imagine if she would get pregnant again and have another baby.
As a mom I would never leave my baby alone in the bath especially in that case where the baby has an illness. Maybe she thought it wouldn't take her long enough to play the game and the would be ok anyway. Nevertheless, such irresponsibility is unforgivable for me.

People tell me I shouldn't judge others and state there should be a parenting license but this is the kind of story that makes me have that opinion. You need a license to own a dog or drive a car. Yet any cheese stick can give birth then take home to raise the most helpless of beings, a human baby.

That's an incredibly sad story. Unfortunately some parents are incredibly selfish and always put themselves first. The most important thing about being a parent is that your child must always come first and must always be the priority.
It's sad that no amount of jail time for the mother can ever bring the child back.

What is past pathetic is the fact that human beings become reproductively mature before their brains know which end is up. Or for that matter, the reproductively mature teenager's brain isn't even fully mature! I heard that brains don't fully mature until age 25, and teenager's bodies are ready for pregnancies at about 18 if not earlier. Nature is messy.

Why on earth any parents want to leaves their children in a bath tub alone so they can play a Facebook games? This type of parents is worthless and not worth to hae any children.
Hey guys, if any of you see your friends who you know have small children, tell them to look after their children more than they look after their facebook.

You don't leave a 13-month old in a bathtub alone even with a seizure disorder! With a seizure disorder, it's even worse!
I've played Cafe World, it's not that exciting. Definetely not worth the life of my child. Ugh...

My late sister Robyn wouldn't let her babies bathe alone at three years!
