Fuel of the future. Hydrogen?

We all now that our oil resources will not last much... perhaps 50 years from now. So what's to be done? How we will be able to go to work? If all the cars are based on oil to run, what's going to happen to them? Some say that the hydrogen is our future fuel, other say that our cars will be based on electric motors. What do you think?

Yes I see this news before, here in Philippines, there is a man that invented a car that was made fueled by water... Yes! by water, and it really amazed me but the government here didn't support his invention and ignored him. And it makes me sad really... Anyway, I see the latest model of HONDA, I don't know if it's in japan but it was powered by hydrogen like you said.

I don't know the latest model but I do know Honda Clarity, which is powered by hydrogen and the only thing coming from exhaust is water. It was featured on Top Gear, but I do not know the exact episode.

i was heard too about the water for fuel, and i think the scientist still searching for alternative energy for change the gasoline, and diesel fuel before its trully exhausted. and i think the electric energy is very possible right now,and it can makethe air still fresh

For sure, something has to be change about the source of energy for our cars. I am not very happy about the soaring gas prices, so I for one will be happy to see the changes, if they are for the better. I don't know about the hydrogen, but electric cars are already being used.

Yeah, I hope they will change the source of energy. I think the scientists already have the ideas as a replacement for oil, but they are not revealing it until the oil is finished. Also big oil companies wouldn't allow this

Well it is really a good possibility but hydrogen is highly volatile and explosive which is really the main problem why some people are wary of pushing it as the next fuel. I for one believe that in the near future our cars mainly will depend on a combo of those energy Like wind+solar+oil combination. We just need to have a better battery to sustain a charge

The cars and other vessels and aerial vehicles will be powered by electricity, because the elements that are used until now and still the best fuel is the Nuclear technology that powers up big vessels like AirCraft Carriers, Submarines and PowerPlants in the US, Russia, China are powered by this kind of technology, But nuclear technology is so dangerous and must handled with care. That's my opinion.
