I have been having some strange headache from the passed year or a little over a year. I thought I was job related but now that I'm sitting at home write, playing music, nothing to stressful the headaches seem to increased in intensity and frequency. I have suffered from sinusitis and allergies all my life and no headaches. Went to a very stressful college and no headaches. My parent suffers from hypertension and I have been checking mines It on the low side. 90/60 I exercise about three times a week and have a normal weight and eat healthy. My headaches sometimes alleviate with naproxen sodium (Alleve) 2 caps and some sleep. But it returns within 2-3 hours. there are no migraines sufferers in my family and only light sensitivity to light, which only happens at nights. I started using piracetam and the headaches is more bearable now, but the relief last longer then with the alleve. And the more piracetam I take the more lasting the effects the relief from the headaches, which i from very strange because the side effect to this medication is headaches and nausea which works in the opposite direction for me. I am basically now looking for any information on meditation, because I don't believe it a medically problem and I am tired of taking alleve. I really feel like those people on the commercials. Pop a pill here and there. I have tired yoga, but the getting up and going down increase the intensity of the headache. Even a site on self hypnosis is OK. Please I don't have no tumor, this is now a medical problem. If anyone out there know any alternative cure for this problem please write me. It would be very helpful Thank you.

I can't agree that it is not medical yet! Although it could be something else. It could be the allergies but my first thought of course was blood pressure which you said obviously it's not that! That's a good thing. Have you considered some sort of food allergy. Sometimes we can become allergic to various foods and not even know it. especailly since you do have other types of allergies. I would consider that - and the meditation avenue could be beneficial no matter what!

Allergies came to mind, but i have stop using most of the things I was using, to see if the effects would change. I even change my shampoo, conditioner, and bath soap.

Have you added anything in your diet that you were not consuming before the headaches began?

You can use massage to your head with mint type oil.And take a sound sleep. And do not watch tv or working on pc may be the problem. It can be due to continuous working on pc. Eyes also get affected by this and muscles of your face and head may get tired. This may be the reason. You should consult your doctor. Thanx

Piracetam induces headaches. So if you take piracetam make sure to take a choline source. There are different types of cholines. I take cholinebitartrate but there are better although more expensive cholines available.

Why are you taking those meds, I mean, it is something advised by your doctor? It seems that you have consulted a health care professional on this but not satisfied with the result and no proof that there is something wrong with you physically. This maybe a cause of too much stress or possibly it is something psychosomatic. I don't know, I am not sure. But as you said you can try meditation and it may help you lessen the occurrence of headaches. Maybe you can also ask for a second opinion just to make sure.

Hi, you know what, for me it is very difficult to give some advices what medications to take as, i am not a doctor or a specialist that knows exactly what you have felt. But what i can say is that you better see a specialist for that, so that you will have a correct treatment for that and that you will feel better. But for now, while you haven't been to the doctor yet, you better take a rest and why not avoid too much use of your computer, take enough sleep as well.

Maybe you should know what type of headache you have. From there you will know how to care for it and not suffer from it already. For me methol oil helps give m relief instantly

this is a medical concern and you have to see a doctor. i will not be suggesting hints what could possibly bring the lingering headache because i do not want to alarm you. so you better see your doctor.

You said that you have been suffering this headache long enough on and off.Have you consulted your doctor about the headaches because this is something serious and taking paracetamol gives temporary relief.Do you use prescription eyeglass if not maybe its time to have one.Maybe too much time in front of the computer or viewing television, but the best way is to consult a doctor.

I'm no medical expert, but I've suffered from headaches all my life. I was actually hospitalized more than once because of them. My Primary Physician sent me to neurologist. I was still having headaches after the neurologist put me on a new medication. I always said I would never go to a Chiropractor. However, I finally broke down and went to 1 about 2 years ago. That was the best thing I could've ever done. I now go only ever 4 weeks and I have no severe issues with headaches anymore. I heard one good pop in my neck and I instantly felt better. Best Wishes!

You might have migraine headaches. You must consult a physician to be 100% sure of the medication that you are about to start.
