the all purpose dining table

When we decided to build our own house we planned to have an extra room, called 'office' where we would do our paper work. Little did we realise then that we would be lonely up there and so we are back at the dining table doing everything there under the sun. Not only do we eat there, we play cards, sit around with friends for a chat, do our paper work and even use it to do some chopping and cutting.Most of our happy moments are created there. What is so special about your dining table?

Yes,our dining table is one of the most used things in the kitchen.
We prepare foods in the dining table while cooking.
We eat dine and after that,we play cards or scrabble in it.
I can say that,the kitchen is our favorite place ,me and my siblings when we are gathered all together in our parents house.
We play cards while i am cooking...or we play scrabble while having some story to tell with kids too.
A lot to tell about dining table...very usable and so memorable.

i guess we all have our "dining table" area. ours is our top step at the front door. we sit there in the sun, we play games there with our daughter and we have late evenings with the neighbours as we drink and talk the night away.
i guess it is a safe haven where we feel safe and relaxed.

Sounds so homely ajk! That takes me back to my childhood when we too had some favourite spots most unlikely ones like the cows' stable (not used any more) where Mom would put up the swing to be used only after our exams where neighbours' children would meet and we would have a great time there.

I do homeworks on my dining table and is the only place in my entire home that I feel like studying. But the funny thing is I seldom eat there. I take food to the TV room and eat is there even though we can watch TV from my dining room =P My mom gets mad when she sees me eating in the TV room. She says it's not nice but whatever.

All youngsters do that. Your Mom is right. Eating while watching tv is not good for health but I suppose there is more joy doing it!

We only use our dining table when we have guest for dinner or lunch. I barley use the dining table. Im not a big fan of wooden chair, I like my comfy sofa a lot better.
