I would suggest that you do not use the credit card that you use regularly. If giving out the card details worries you, try to do it with a new credit card. Plus you will get some welcoming gift from credit card company. You can ask the Card company to set a low credit limit for this card so even if something really goes wrong, the loss can be kept to a minimum.

I verified my Paypal and Alertpay accounts using my credit card. I also use my credit card to withdraw money from Alertpay since the fee is much cheaper compared to a bankwire option. Bank transfer is not possible as well for us here in the Philippines and I don't want to use money exchange sites.

Hi, i had the same doubt in my mind when i had to verify my paypal account. All i did was, made a virtual credit card and it worked, every bank has a feature to make limited virtual credit cards, Much safer and no worries.

Yes it is Quite Safe as Alertpay of Canada has got a Fine System just Like American Paypal. You can Link any Active Credit or Debit Card to Your Alertpay Account. You can Add and Remove Monetary Funds between Accounts. You will Verify Your Account and that is What You want to do.

Now it's all about trust.. Personally, I trust AlertPay enough. And anyway their site is encrypted by SSL so no third party will be able to steal your credit card data - unless if your computer infected by malware or keylogger. Try to run anti virus scan regularly to prevent it..
