blogger vs wordpress

I have been wanting to create a new website for awhile now. I heard from most forums to utilize either wordpress or blogger, because its free. I am a bit confused as to what is the difference between the two. I read that wordpress ranks higher in SEO than the other choice, is this true?

All I can say is that Wordpress has better features than the other choice. You are also able to make a domain which is one of the factors which caused Wordpress' ranks to go up. However, I am more active in my blogger than in my Wordpress. It could also depend where you are living. Here in my country, most people use blogger and not wordpress. It is because blogger is already a trusted online monetisation blog. It's your choice.
