Online Site Rules

I really dislike it when an online paying site keeps changing it's rules all the time and the newly added rules are so strict it doesn't allow the users to grow anymore or even enjoy the site. What i hate the most is that they change the rules so often without any announcements at all and would just surprise the users and can get them banned. Is that fair at all? I would agree if the purpose of the rule is to eliminate cheaters but it has to be reasonable to other members as well. No wonder that old members no longer enjoy staying on that site and they are withdrawing their investments on that site. I think a paying site that changes its rules often shows that it's not stable at all. It's like they are having a trial and error thing and if it doesn't work then they just have to change again. That's why i like mylot and this is the best online paying site and the most stable of all.

I agree with you. It's very suspicious when an online paying site changes rules without informing the members first and giving them enough time to adjust or even make comments/suggestions on whether it should be implemented or not. Doing something like that without the members' knowledge will only result in distrust.

Totally, and leaving it up to a supervisor and not the admin himself creating those rules is just not quite good at all. Some rules are just plain stupid i think and not applicable at all. I don't know how long that site will continue to exist with such kind of rules.

hey, fried. i agree with you. i think the most important for a paying site is stable. so once it has a guidelines, it should not be changed any more. even if it has to be changend, admins are supposed to information all the users first. and i think there should be a probation period for the change. during this period, users could give their ideas and advices.

Well, I suppose it is understandable that rules are changed every now and then. Especially if it is a relatively new site. Adjustments need to be made along the way as problems are encountered. I haven't been in mylot very long, but I suppose there were growing pains as well in the beginning(?). Anyway, I agree that if rules are changed, announcements regarding the change must be made so that users are aware. It would be even better if users are informed before changes are made, and opinions asked if possible.

Yes i said as long as they are reasonable and not done so frequently. Frequent changes mean instability. Even in big companies it's a danger to change the rules without announcements of doing it so frequently as employees wouldn't be able to adjust to that. And rules should be made as reasonable as possible. And because of the frequent changes i have experienced sites closing down because members suddenly backed out. Before one goes into a business one must study it or do a feasibility study. Before i entered mylot i read a lot of reviews and it was stated there that mylot is the only stable paying site that has no risk of closing down.
