One time when I opened my email I saw mail came from UPS. I've got curious and suddenly opened it. It say's that I have parcel that stock in somewhere that I need to claim immediately. And there's a file that I need to open coz it says that all the documents that I need to claim those parcel is in that file. When I opened it, even my anti virus didn't detect the virus. Suddenly my screen became blue and written there in bold letters, "YOU ARE INFECTED". With my nervousness and afraid that all of my files will be infected co'z I have so many important files in my hard disk, I closed my laptop and disconnect it from the internet. When I open it again, I used the safe mode and went to recovery settings and I restore my laptop in somewhat earlier time. Then thanks God, everything was ok again. How about you, did you experience having virus in your computer? What sed kind of solution did you used to get rid of it?

Hi lexirose7350. Good for you that your anti virus did the work well. You know sometimes we said "curiosity killed" and I found its true. Many people now will send you something to your email which when you read the title its sound so interesting. Those are the strategy to spread something fast in the net. Nice title, or eye catching picture and inside are some files to open. And if you are the receiver you will become curious to open it and the alas "VIRUS". Anyway, I've learned my lesson already.

Yes, sometimes we learn our lesson the hard way :-)Had it not for my antivirus, my files would have been damaged especially i work with no back-ups.

Hi,it happen to me long time ago, i hate virus attack through file. When someone send file and actually it contain virus. Now days i not worry any about accidentally visiting site got virus or when download thing. I use Avast for my anti virus protection inside my personal computer. I like it because it will automatically abort your connection when it detect the file or site that you are about to download or visit. By this way it will keep my computer safe. Important thing need to do is always let our anti virus auto update for new virus definition.

Hi etevasi, your right. Avast is one of the best antivirus program now. But we need to think also that there are some kind of virus now in the web that even our antivirus cannot detect it because it bypass the program and go directly to the hard disk of your computer. So we need also to be extra care about viruses. Millions and millions of viruses are launched everyday in the web and virus maker become more and more genius just for this matter. On the other hand, we just need to be careful about opening files specially in our emails.

I had that similar mail in my junk mail folder as well. I didn't attempt to open it because i know it should be a virus. Mine was 'fedex' header, and i know i don't have anything thing to do with it, so all the more i need not bother about it. If anybody were to send something to me, they would have emailed on, telling me, rather than letting 'fedex' do the job.
