Forgetting dreams!!

Hey Everybody! Today morning I woke up late in the morning as I had a bad(in fact a weird dream). I could not wake up soon thinking about my dream. Well, in my dream I had got some disease. My teeth were black in color. It was not just black, also it was looking as if fungus had grown over my teeth. Over that, I was questioning the doctor why did it appear suddenly when I did not have it till yesterday! He gives some justification. Finally, after I woke up, it took me about ten minutes to recollect my dream!! I often feel that I am unable to recollect my dream after I woke up. Have you people ever felt so? Is there anything to do with my personality? Pour in your thoughts!

It doesn't have anything to do with personality. That's just how our brains are wired. People often forget their dreams as soon as they wake up, some don't remember them at all, and some may be reminded of them later. If you want to become better at dream recollection, you can train your mind. I keep a dream journal. As soon as I wake up I write notes down, so I won't forget. Just the act of trying to remember your dreams can help you to remember them better. I also look up the meanings of my dream. I like to use dreammoods.com because it is easy. You just type the symbol into the search box. I know that teeth often have to do with personal image since the way our teeth look is a big thing in society. I believe that our dreams are often the result of our subconscious trying to tell us something; help us sort out some problem we may be having in our waking life. These messages are sometimes shocking (nightmares) so that it will leave a bigger impression on us and we may pay more attention to it. I really recommend trying to decode this dream, so that you can sort out this issue and rest peacefully. Good luck.

WOW!!! That was indeed a very useful reply about dreams. I have never tried thinking so much about my dreams until I got this dream. In fact I am a kind of person who mostly fall asleep and have a very sound sleep. Very rarely I do get dreams. But I keep forgetting those. Should we really try remembering them?

Every time I remembered my dream I always try to analize it. I know my soul is trying to tell me something with pictures. I remembered this summer I dream I sitting in a train passing by houses who had caught fire. I could feel the heat from the burning houses. i tried to analize my dream, but I couldn't. A week went by. a sunny day I went to the beach. I sat in the sunshine with my bare legs for some hours. Enjoyed the warm sunny weather. When I came home from the beach my legs turned red. I begun to feel like my legs were burning up. I got fever. I had an awful night with fever and felt I was burning up. Maybe your dream is telling you about something that is going to happen to you.

I have never analyzed much. But yeah, some of those dreams have come true(the scenes that I would have come across in my dreams). But fortunately, I have never experienced any awful dreams come true(like the one that I had mentioned!)

According to studies, we normally have numerous dreams in a night but we can't remember them all as we wake up. It is therefore very normal for us to forget dreams. Sometimes though there are dreams so deep and remarkable that we can completely remember and retell as we wake up.

Ya.. You're right. May be that why I remember two or more scenes from my dreams, which are totally irrelevant.

Ha ha ha. I am laughing. Fungus on your teeths! So strange dream. Well, i also see some dreams like that. Just yesterday i saw one. It was not strange, i was on cricket ground with real indian team! Indians were fielding and yuvaraj was boweling. And i was fielding on midon. And i was fielding very tightly with diving, and speaking again and again well done yuvi.come on come on yuvi. I was feeling so great to cheering, i was hoping that this i should see this dream tomorow also. This was first one. In second one, my mht cet exam day was came, and i was totally blank and was thinking what i did full of year. My heart beats were increasing and really when i woke up, i found that dream gave me great motivation of studying!

There are actually many practices that will help you remember your dreams if you find yourself forgetting them. If upon waking up you have trouble remembering (and have the time) try laying back in the exact position you were sleeping in, closing your eyes and visualizing the events you do remember. If you find yourself narrating the events to help your memory, do so in the present tense, because it will help stimulate forgotten parts of the dream as you talk through it. You don't have to do this right upon waking though, you can sit and sort of meditate on your dream later in the day and fuzzier details will begin to clear up as well. Another good approach (if you've got the place for it) is sensory deprivation. If your bathtub is big enough you can try this there as well. Make sure the room is pitch black and lie in the tub with room temperature(ish) water. The lack of sensations for your mind to interpret will leave it free to wander and you'll hallucinate if you're in there long enough. I'm sure it would work well as a way to recover dreams too, if you were intent to do so at the time.

Lol most of the times I don't dream at all! :| But when I finally do, the moment I wake up to try tell someone about my dream I could never remember. Lol so it's not just you, I think it happens to just about everyone once in a while or so.

I've read in a book that there is a part of our brain that can still remember our dreams. Our dreams sometimes mean something. Just try to recall your dreams and maybe you can find the answer.

Oh no! I wish this is not true! I don't want fungus in my teeth! It was so awkward seeing my teeth in such a bad situation, when I follow a good oral health habit.

see every thing happens with our will,we should recieve the dream if it is positive to us if the dream is negative one eliminatie it from our mind there is use with that and be happy.thinking for bad dreams will disappoint us so much its only in some trans stage mind will go for a dream its just a myth so never mind it and use will power in all activites.

Wow, what a scary dream. Sometimes it can be hard to remember some dreams. And there are dreams that you cant forget. If you want to remember your dreams its best to keep pen and paper next to your bed, so that when you wake you can write everything (that you remember) down. That way you can look your dream up and see what it means. I know it helps me.

Yeah.. Really an odd dream. Since it is not a pleasant dream I do not want to know the interpretation of the dream. I am afraid of it!!!
