Do you tend to worry excessively?

I think sometimes we worry about many different things. I feel for me personally when I think about the future I tend to worry about how things may be. Do you think that most of the time we worry about things that we may think may happen but likely will not? That we work overselves up over really something we don't know or can't really control. Do you catch yourself worrying about things like that, things that may be a decade or two down the line?

This depends on the situatin and circustances. i try not to let myself worry too excessively about something. When i do it just makes the decision mre troublesome and the choices harder to make. Too much worry never really solves the problem anyway. doing something about it is the only thing that causes change to happen.

I agree that worrying excessively doesn't help. It can make things worse like you mentioned. There are things that we can control and then things we can't. We've got to be balanced and what we worry about. Work at the things that we can.

I think it's in our nature to worry too much sometimes, and the stress of modern existence contributes to the excessive worries we have from time to time. There are moments when I worry about the coming of a major earthquake, for example, and although nobody can predict when it will come, the question 'what if it comes in a few seconds?' still comes to my mind, and I have to try to think about something pleasant in order to free myself from that panic,so worries can come out of nothing, but we don't have to let them control our lives.

I agree that we don't want to let worry control us. It can be a big thing and cause a lot of distress if we aren't careful. There are things that we can't control and so we shouldn't overly worry about them. We've got to do what we can, prepare for things the best we can and not lose sleep over things that we can't control.

yes, you can even say I am a chronic worrier. I worry almost everyday. I worry about spending all of my money up or about my work or about the things that people may say about me behind my back. Sometimes my worries become reality and sometimes they dont.

I think it would be hard to be a chronic worrier. I worry a lot and that drives me crazy I couldn't imagine if I literally worried all the time. I think it would cause me anxiety attacks. Like you mentioned somethings that we worry about do happen while the majority of it doesn't. So i think if we worry a little about what is realistic and leave the rest alone we will feel better.

The steps that you have taken are really good. It is good for us to think deeply about the future concerning our family. We don't want to leave our family behind with out or with debt. So preparing for these things are important.

Yes, I tend to worry about many things that are concerning about me. When things seems to be out of control, it even keep me up at night. I consult my friends about that and they tell me worry too much. It's a bad habbit, so I'll try to look on the bright side of things.

There have been times when worrying has kept me up at night as well. Sometimes I feel that I have to really think about things that are going on in my life and how to get control of it. But really at times many things are just out of our control. And it doesn't help to overly be worried about things. It is good to talk with our friends about the things we are feeling and going through, they can help us to have a better perspective of what's happening.

I think my father influenced me in terms of being a worrisome people. My boyfriend even tells me that I worry a lot sometimes. However, sometimes, we really can't help but do so. I think we just have to modulate it sometimes and instead of worrying, we should make an effort to try and think about ways how we would deal about the situation if worst comes to worst. There's always no harm in being prepared.

I agree with you that we can try and be prepared for different things that may happen or come up. And if we are prepared we are less stressed and anxious. So i think we have to be balanced. If we have a balanced view it benefits us all the way around.

I also tend to worry on things that I should not worry about. As what Jesus says, "Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself." I know that it isn't easy not to worry specially if there are things that we really want to happen. But whenever worry starts knocking at my door, I just pray.

I agree with you that it's hard to be balanced in what to be concerned about. And like you mentioned Jesus did say that we shouldn't be worried about tomorrow. Each day surely does bring it's own anxieties. And if we worry about everything that there is to worry about we will stress ourselves out.

I do have a tendency to excessively worry about things. I don't always want to worry excessively about something. It's not something that I like doing. But it's just the way that I am. I can't help but worry a lot about something.

I agree with you it's easy to worry. And it's hard not to worry. There are so many things happening and going on in our lives that cause concern and anxiety. We like to be prepared for things and when we aren't that causes stress as well. And it always seems that things come up that we aren't ready for.

I admit i was a worry wart before. But i've realized that, even though i worry too much about tomorrow, there is nothing it can do or it can not resolve the problem either. Now i always try to relax and let things work together. Like,my bill is due tomorrow, even if i keep worrying where to get the money to pay the bills..it won't help anyway. So,i just shoo away the thought, and tomorrow i will think where to get the money so that i can pay my bills

I agree with you that at times we worry unnecessarily about things that we sometimes have no control over. You have a good way of looking at things. It is very true that we may not have money for certain bills but overly stressing about it doesn't help us. We just have to do what we can and not stress about the rest.

Yeah, it has happened to me once or twice. So yeah, definitely. I try not too, however, but sometimes I just can't help myself.

Yeah we have to work at not stressing. There are so many things that cause stress. There are always new reasons to stress, and different circumstances that cause anxiety. We've got to do the best we can and then leave it at that.

I think that there are alot of people out there that do worry alot, but there are alot of other people out there that do not worry, not even worry about paying their bills, etc.I think that i am a cautious person when it comes to things, not really a worrier.I look at the future and i think that as long as i keep up with all my bills and have a reasonable life that is all that matters.

I like the way you look at things. It is very balanced. I too agree that it important to keep up with our bills and if we are able to do that we will feel more relax, and we are able to enjoy our life without worrying. Sometimes I think we tend to worry about things that aren't necessarily that important. I would like to be more like individuals who don't worry.

Definitely, I'm constantly worried. When I'm thinking about my future, my goals, about my mom and dad's situation, about bills, about my work, about my house tasks, I don't know, many things, for some reason, everything worries me, literally. I can help it, is just that I need to know eveything is going to be fine, I need to have everything under my control. And that's what worries me.

Yes I agree with you there are so many things that cause us to worry. And a lot of it we can't really control and so it drives us crazy. There are many things that we need to get done, things that need to be paid for and it just seems like there isn't enough hours in the day or enough money to take care of it all. And that all leads to stress and anxiety.

I used to worry to an excess. As I get older I worry less. I have learned it's true that most of the things one worries about never happen. I once read a suggestion to write down the things that worry you, then put them away and don't look at the list for a year. It is said by the time the year is over and you reread the list, most of the worries will have solved themselves. That would be a great lesson and proof that excess worry doesn't really help. While I never tried that exercise, I do think it's true since many of my past worries never materialized. I do think some worry is beneficial. It can be a motivator in some cases. The trick for me is to remember excess worry is not helpful, while mild concern might be.

I agree with you that excess worry is not helpful at all. Like many people and research has shown that most of the things that we worry about will not happen. There are so many things that we can fear and worry about but it actually doesn't help us. We have to work at what we can control and not worry excessively about other things.
