i just heard my husband tell me the weirdest thing today...he went to a men's meeting at my church and apparently they were giving testimonies. he said there was one guy (who just happens to be a reverend and a youth minister) who was gay, addicted to crack/cocaine and caught AIDS over the course of twenty eight years...then he said the guy went on to say that he stopped being gay when he became a Christian. do you think that is possible? i don't...just sayin

it's a personal choice God gave us all Free will and we make the choices and decisions in our lives. I think Won't send a gay person to hell for being gay if they are not doing anything wrong. God is a loving God and if we all humble ourselves and see what he see in his eyes. Wanting to be more like Jesus is what we need to aim for. I believe even me being Gay and raise in brought up in a Church. I believe God is showing me things and opening my eyes to see one different levels

It is not possible, not even religion can do so.
If that would be the case, whomever is religious should know that to the eyes of God/Christ/Jesus all people are created equal regardless of their preferences as long as they follow the church's beliefs for the good of humanity.
Being gay it's not a sin, it doesn't make people different that any of us as human beings, just their preference is different, that's it, nothing wrong with that at all.
I believe that due to specific circumstances like the one of that person who testified, one would feel guilty and may want people to think that being gay (the "cause" of their disgrace) could be stopped in a snap so they would have no more remorse.
