My dad wants to paint the house puke green. I hate it. I am trying to talk him out of it.

He should look at the house itself and ask some questions like how old is the house, what is it's history, is it victorian, a bungalow, etc.. as these all play a part in the color of a house. Example I purchased the house I have last year, it is a 1935-40 home the previous owner put vinyl siding in yellow and aluminum trim around the window and eaves in green it looks awful. This house had originally cedar shingles on the side which was right for the period...the color wasn't right either yellow wasn't used that much in the 40's and doesn't fit the houses profile. Your father really should think about these things before putting paint to the surface....he can go to different paint stores and ask as well what may work with his house...take a photo with you so the paint guy/gal can see what your working on.
