Well, Milwaukee finally finished their canvass, and certified their votes... With an margin of over 7000 votes, David Prosser keeps his seat on the Wisconsin State Supreme Court.
The incompetent Kloppenburg might call for a recount, but there is no legitimate reasons to do it. If she does, it will be nothing more than political strategizing. Keeping the left fomented until the summer recall season will take some doing... I mean, how long can you hold on to meaningless anger.
I will hand it to the unions though, they successfully took a candidate who shouldn't have amounted to a blip on the radar and made her a viable candidate. Why they chose someone that even Obama and former WI governor King Doyle didn't consider qualified to be a judge is beyond me.
Just think lefties, a real candidate probably would have beat Prosser!

I think the whole union/Walker controversy is the only reason there was even a serious challenge to Prosser. Without that issue it wouldn't have been a very publicized election nor would there have been so many turning out to vote. But even with the huge push by the liberals and the unions to turn out every vote they could, they still lost. It was close because the unions and the libs were fired up enough to turn out in numbers much higher than they might in any regular judicial election. Even with that huge effort, they still lost. I think that alone tells us where the majority of people in Wisconsin stand, and it's not with the unions.
The fact that they chose a very unqualified candidate based on a single issue tells us exactly what kind of law and government they favor. They do not favor democracy they favor favoritism and an unequal society where one class is given entitlements at the expense of other classes of citizens.
It's just one battle and there are more to fight. The unions are not used to losing, it's not going to be pretty.

The mistake the union made was selecting a person for a 10 years position based on his/her vote on a single case. It shows to what lengths the Unions will go to win an issue without looking toward the future. Even if she won a case could be made for her recuse herself because she had made up her mind before hearing the case, not that she would.
One thing should be clear now and that is that the Union Rank and File will follow blindly what their leaders tell them and don't think about other consequences.

I think they chose her because she promised to vote against any laws that curtailed the power of the unions. They have tunnel vision and can't see past their agenda. Let's hope they continue this trend of shortsightedness!
