For new generation slam is popular trend

Is a slam book something like what we call a memory book? We had that during grammar and high school years. Where each one shares it with all friends and classmates to write things in to later in life look back and laugh with joy of the things we wrote. I still have mine and I have things in it like: Red rover, red rover Open the gate Here comes (hardworkinggurl) twenty years late! What that meant was I finally did it and graduating. lol, I have mine from both 8th grade graduation and my high school graduation also. It is fun to look back sometimes and wonder where some have gone and how some perhaps have become successful.

I never had any thing called 'slam book, Surekha beti, i am hearing this for the first time, but me and professor have our daily diary, i have two, in one i note down my daily activity etc etc and in the other the daily expenses.. Thanks for sharing Happy posting, cheers. Namastey. Kalyani

Dear friend, In my school days it was much less, may be very rare. But I do like it. But more than that we had note to autograph just few wishes with song like lines. Slam books really rewinds us to go back those school and college days. It would interesting to read when one gets old.

hi surekharathi an old saying everything old is made new again/. when i was a kid in high school we called them year books and all our classmates would write various things in them .years later we would look b ack and laugh and smile at what all we and our classmates had said, so what was old during the second world war is made new again with t he same sorts of things being written only about modern things now. lol loll

I Must be living under a rock what is a 'slam book' is that like an e-book reader like kindle? Which is an Electronic Reader? IF it is the same thing it is probably because of the convenience factor, I read today Kindles stock is rising. Why drive to Barnes and Nobles or order off eBay or Amazon and wait 2 weeks when you can download it immediately?

i think that slam book is a good option and must be used because it helps you maintain the list of your friends and family and the best part is that you also get to keep the recordd for that matter that you may need in the future. But in the end as you rightly said its a waste of time and money

WEll, I am not sure what a "slam" book is, so I am not really qualified to give a legitimate opinion. However, it doesn't sound like anything too terrible. Not if they are just wanting their friends to sign it like with autographs and small comments. It sounds like what we used to do in our yearbooks when we were in school.
