My mother-in-law's mother arrived just yesterday and she'll be staying with us for good. She's already 97 years old, my kids were excited to finally meet her again(They were just in their toddler years when they last met her but they remembered her a bit). It's really nice to be with her again and It's so amazing too; With her, my mother-in-law, my husband and our kids, we've got 4 generations in the house!!!

That is the way God intended that it should be, the younger generation taking care of the older one. I hope that your grandmother-in-law is healthy and of clear mind.

I think that is very neat that so many generations are close and that your family has a good bond. I love hearing about big families as mine is very small and we are spread apart so never have that many generations even living at one time. That is neat for your children to be able to meet other generations and get to know them. As they say, the older you are, the wiser, so your kids will gain good knowledge. Hope yall are enjoying yourselves!

Having grown up with no natural grand parents this is amazing to me. Now my husband could do this from his side if he wanted to. His Grandparents no problem his parents well, that's a no!
My kids would ask to move out..lol. That is really cool though if you can make it work. I think there has been something lost in our communities where multi generations do not live as family. There are experiences, the fact that there is always some one home, and no need for babysitters and daycare that give all generations a sense of security that is just gone from most modern households. Kudos to you all!

My brother and his family are staying with my parents. Sometimes I envy them cause I really want to stay in my hometown. I miss my family so much but I only get to visit them a few times in two months. After I give birth to my baby, I wont be traveling there until the baby will be old enough to travel.

Actually, we have so many things to learn from other generations. Ant this is a good chance to teach the children to understand about old people. We can teach them to care for them and help them. enjoy the days.

How sweet that the kids can share sometime with grand-mom. Also that you all will have her there with you. Hope everyone has a good time with her because she is elder and the children will get to appreciate and have her there to share her love.
