Let me ask you, are you what you wanted to be? Right from childhood, i have always wanted to be a surgeon but when i grew up i discovered that i'm haemophobic, i do have a system disorder whenever i see blood, i don't know what to do to overcome this obstacle between me and my dream. Later, i got advise from friends and Biochemistry was suggested for me, i'm now studying biochemistry. Though everything is okay now but a part of me still tells me that i'm not what i wanted to be! . Post your comment if you face similar issue.

Unfortunately, I'm not what I wanted to be...yet? I've been thinking about this thing for days now and I'm glad to have seen your post. When I was a kid, I wanted to be either a teacher or a dentist. I also like drawing so one of my ambitions was to become an aritst. Right now, I'm a registered nurse. Coming from a third world country, many Filipinos become nurses to get work opportunities abroad. My aunt's dream was to go to the US and she's been there for around 20 years now. I want to go there too because living is definitely a lot better there and I love American TV-film. When I get there, maybe I'll try if I could pursue a career in arts while working as a nurse (which is more stable).

I'm not sure I remember wanting to be anything in particular. I guess I was never very ambitious. And, so, here I am in the later years of my life and I am still wondering what I will be. I am a mother, I am a widow, I am a precious Child of God. I am a devoted church member, I am a committed volunteer , and a loving pet owner. I guess this is what I want to be at this point in my life. I don't think we all have to be something spectacular, we can just be content in whatever we are. I'm sure I never WANTED to be an insomniac, but I am. I think I probably DID want to be slim and beautiful, but I'm not. I probably never even thought about being a dependable friend but I try to be that. I think I vaguely remember wanting to be a teacher when I was very young, but, thank goodness that didn't pan out, I am not overly fond of young children at this stage in my life. As far as the kind of person I may have wanted to be, I think I come pretty close.

some great philosopher has spoken "Human planned their future for secure their life its shows their insecure thinking about their future " in simple word its a beauty of god that noting can be planned is planned or other word you can say that single rule of this world is no rule. so I think we just try to live in the present time ,I mean just think about present and on behalf of present circumstances only we should plane our feature thanks happymylotting

haha. For my case, it's actually the opposite. When I was younger, I wanted to become a lawyer. But then when I entered my high school which was supported by the Department of Science and Technology, I was required to take a course that was Science and Technology related. My father told me that I can take law later. But I realized that to become a lawyer, there are really times when I would have to lie. I hate lying. Also, I learned to love Biology so I took Biology. I remember wanting to take Biochemistry before and be involved in Forensics. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to pass that course. It was a good thing though because I realized that my calling was really to become a surgeon. Now, I just graduated from BS Biology and I will start my medical education this JUne. :)

What I wanted to be changed so many times when I was younger. I remember wanting to be a teacher, an artist and a "business woman." Not sure what I meant by that it's what I wrote in my "school years book" my mom made for each of us. Lol. Anyways, it's also changed a lot in adulthood. I've wanted to do nursing, social worker, and daycare administrator. I started school for nursing but then decided I didn't like it. I'm currently not working so I guess you could say no, I am not what I wanted to be when I grew up. I'm 30 yrs old and I have no idea what I want to do.

I am almost exactly what I wanted to be when I was younger. I firstly wanted to be a mom, and that I am to two wonderful little girls. My dad is in the military so naturally I wanted to go into the military, but no not any branch of the military...I wanted to be a Navy Seal. I thought I was going to be the first female Navy Seal. Needless to say I can swim, but not extremely well, and my determination for going into the military faded quickly after hitting middle school. And to date, there are still no female Navy seals. I really wonder what I was thinking back then. lol. But I hit my number 1 dream to be a mom, and I wouldn't trade that for the world.

Funny when I look at my grade school yearbook, it says there that I wanted to be a doctor saving my fellowmen. No, I am not a doctor, and I cringe at the thouhgt because like you, I am afraid of blood! The sight of it makes my hear beat really fast.
