Where goes the money in Paypal?

I know Paypal is a safe site and etc. But I was wondering how Paypal works. MyLot and other site where I am registered pay through Paypal. They send me the money via email to Paypal, but to me is sort of imaginary money. How can they send money by email? Maybe they send to Paypal the number of some bank account and the amount of money they should take to put in my account? Where Paypal stores my money? How this site works? Anyone knows?

Have you ever heard of the electronic money transfer? The paper money is not physically transferred if that's what you're thinking. This is the 20th century not the 19th century. Things are done electronically. Read the processing in the PayPal website so you would understand more on how it works.

Really? I didn't know this is the 20th century! wow. So, my money is electronic, well, sometimes, I can't do some things with electronic money, I need the real money. They should have the real money in somewhere, but apparenly, you don't know where that place is.
