This may seem silly, but I'm serious! I have a mylot addiction and it's keeping me from doing my homework! Have you had any difficulties focusing on your duties as a result of your enjoyment of mylot? I guess mylot is just too fun for me..
Hmm.. maybe I should cut off my internet connection for the time being..

Hi sashakiddo, You seem to have serious problem here. just kidding... I totally agree with you that MyLot is an addictive site. The more you share, the more you get addicted. But i think it is not good to be here all the time and avoiding your priorities in life. Try using it few hours in a day and disconnect your internet for the rest of day until you are done with your work. But still if you feel like coming back again and again then you might want to go out somewhere alone (away from your computer) and do your work!

Sounds like the only way it can be done... i'll have to go somewhere where I don't have the temptation to use it.. but I do use my laptop for homework, so the internet is soo tempting...

I think you will find that most of the regular people here have the same addiction as you my friend. We are all addicts!
There have been many times when I should have been working but instead I have been wasting many hours chatting here amongst my friends. Oh the perils of being self employed and working from home!

So true my friend. I was not able to get internet during my five day away on our emergency visit and I was a bit upset because I could not communicate with certain members here. It is quite addicting to come on here daily.
We just have to force ourselves at times to pull away and make sure we balance off line responsibilities. The best part about myLot is that it never closes so we can come on here and myLot anytime.
I am trying to catch up on some discussions now and I do like the fact that discussions are never ending.

If you really find mylot so addictive and would hinder you to focus on some more important things to do then you can just cut this off for a moment. And yeah, maybe it would help to cut off your internet connection for the time being. But hey, don't rush things out, consider the pros and cons of having no internet at home. it's difficult specially if you have some projects and researches via net to be done. Just weight things out.

Nope, not for me. Actually I have utilized mylot for my studies discussing stuff related to my studies and it is better than listening to the lecture of my teachers because I actually interact with the answers that I get.
It is up to you to stop using mylot or keep on using it.

I know the feeling, it's pretty frustrating at times. Right now I need to be studying for an example to have next week, and I haven't done any work because I've spent much time on here!
