Today is the day we mourn for the death of Jesus Christ. But I am mourning for the death of my beloved shih tzu, Grumble. I felt like I've lose my parents once again as the pain is almost like that. Grumble is more than just a pet to us. He's a part of my family and he was well loved. Grungy as we often call him was a healthy dog who never got sick and we don't expect him to leave us so soon. I thought that he would be with us until my son reaches adulthood. I'm already missing my dog terribly and I still can't stop crying.

Hi toni Oh dear. I understand this so well. I too lost my only pet german shephard - Poppy - 10 years back. That day I lost my friend and my dearest poppy. I remember that I wept all day and night and fell asleep weeping. That night, poppy came in my dreams and we were playing the same way as we did in real life. Still today, I see poppy occasionally in my dreams, sharing the fun we had when she was around. I have never had a pet since she left me and I will never have one in future... it is too painful to see them or anyone go.

Hi toni.. I understand your feelings now. a pet becomes our part of family and we consider him as a member. We feel mournful when we lose a family member.. it does not matter is is a human being or a pet. Take care.

hi toiganzon oh yes when one gets a dog it becomes more than just a dog but one of ones own family. I felt just horrible when due to having sold our house we were moving into an apartment which did not allow dogs at all we had to find a new home for my dog. I know the family we gave her to would love her and take the besgt of care but it was like giving away ones own child. I have not had a dog since as it hurt just too much. now here at gold crest I can have a small dog but it raises my rent more than I can afford. so cannot do it. I sympathize as I understand that pain, I lost a beloved collie when I was 8 and not until I was 11 did I learn the truth,. our farm neighbor shot her as he thought she was after his sheep which was not true., I had called her rin tin tin after a movie star dog named that. this was back in the thirties.
