Has anyone seen the new animated movie RIO yet? My daughter decided to take my 16 month old granddaughter to see it. we took her in her stroller and set down in the handicap seats so she could sit by us. We got her the kiddie combo so she had rootbeer, popcorn, and gummi bears. Despite her age...when that screen come to life with all those colors, she was mesmerized. She did not get fussy or anything. When she heard music you could watch her move her shoulders and and her head and just smile and point. The movie was absolutely darling and suggested for smaller children because of the brillance of the movie. I used to hand tame macaws when they were allowed into america to be sold in petshops. so I could really relate to this movie in real life with the story line.

I just watched Rio at the cinema today. For an old age bloke like me (OK, I'm not THAT old but I'm 24 which I think makes me qualified as not a child but an adult ), I still find the movie very amusing and endearing, and the music throughout the movie was brilliant. I feel that the movie also presents some food for thought for the adults, regarding the activities of bird smuggling which I believe is still rampant in Brazil. Now the movie just makes me want to consider a trip to Rio de Jeneiro just to witness and experience the colorful carnival!

I haven't watched Rango yet, but I heard it was a nice movie as well. I think I might watch it soon too, if I have the time....

Wow, what a lucky man! I wish I could visit Disney World like yourself and your husband........well, if he doesn't want to "suffer" at Disney World, maybe you could use his annual pass to bring me along.....

I did not take my kids to the theaters to see this movie. I just was at the library the other day and see they got this movie in to rent. My kids have been watching it over and over every day they love it. I watched it with them today. It was cute but nothing that I would want to watch again. It just didnt capture my attention that much. All the birds in the movie were so cute. It was a nice animation with lots of bright colors but the story was rather bland for me.
