Did you know that....nine out of 10 people are right-handed? Compared to the rest of the animal world, only humans develop a dominant hand. Handedness cannot be changed, except when done at very early age, and only for tasks it was trained for. If a naturally left-handed child was taught to use his right-hand for specific tasks such as eating or writing, he will continue to use his left to cut with scissors or throw a ball. Compared to right-handers, lefties have excellent mental imaging and reasoning skills. These are useful in such areas as chemistry, engineering and architecture...lefties tend to be more extreme in their overall Abilities. More left-handers are in learning disabled groups and extremely bright students are twice as likely to be left-handed. Clearly, being left-handed need not be a problem for children.

most of us are born right handed, and i am a right handed but i know a lot of people use their left hand as freely as we are, even do much better than the right handed people ,some have beautiful calligraphy, some bowel the ball perfectly with precision, some have great gift in music or mathmatic, yes of course imagination...they are full of inspiration.sometimes i just think if only i have a flexible left hand because i always cannot play my guitar well in both hands, accompanied problems with left.so i think you are a lucky person that God assignedto you a pair of flexible hands i regard it a great wealth

Yes, I do agree that being a left handed person be not a problem with other people in society. I know back in the long time ago it used to be seen as such a curse to be born left handed. But now I don't see it as much of a problem. Sure there are certain devices or objects that are designed for a right handed person but they can learn to adapt to any situation.

Definitely yes, I agree with you, when I was in college, I really had a hard time when my subject is Shorthand because of the strokes, as the normal way, when we write it starts from left to right so my speed was contradict with my left hand but I cope up with it through studying the right position of paper or notebook. It should be right slant so that my speed in taking up dictations using shorthand is fast.

Not all people can live right handed. left handed people need attention too. Change should not have to be a part of being left handed in a right handed orld.

you are right, left handed people need attention because it's been observed that many left-handed students tend to have attention problems and learning disabilities, are highly emotional and hyperactive, with inadequate verbal skills and a disposition toward aggression.

The good thing with being left-handed is that you can easily learn how to use their right hand as well (at least that's true to all left-handed people that I know of). I'm a right-handed person and I'd say that I can't aim too well using my left hand when I throw a ball or something but most of the left-handed people I know can use both hands perfectly.

It is true and I am very much likely to observe them because as for us right handed it is very hard to follow them and I also do believe that they are indeed ingenious. Remember our bowler Nepomuceno, he has been a continuous pride of our country and it is really so hard to put him down because of his technique in throwing the ball.

I don't know friend if my being resourceful is a matter of coincidence, as my in-laws addressed me a "smart mom." especially when it comes to decision making. When I was in elementary grades, grade one to be specific, my teacher was my auntie every time she sees me writing with my left hand she approached me and tapped my hand with stick and always stay beside me or me writing in her desk, that's why I learned to used my right hand too. I also good in sport, I am playing volleyball from my freshmen to senior year and religiously got the MVP award, lol. That's why I have many suitors then aside from the beauty I possessed, lol.

Leftie kids can be turned to be right-handed just need a rigid training. I have three kids, there are tendency for them to be left-handed because my wife is left-handed. When they were just infant, we noticed them that when we handed them their baby bottle they raised their left hand to received it. So we trained them then that should be their right hand received anything that is given to them. The result of it is, our kids are all turned right-handed. Now that they are growing up kids, I have seen them talent in drawing, they inherits from my wife.
