Hi everyone... Sometimes i read my old discussions which was started year ago. I really enjoy it. It gives me pleasure as i laugh, learn, remember myself reading them. There were some serious and funny moments regarding each post but those moments was passed with some other discussions started by many mylotters. Do you do the same? Do you read your old discussions and enjoy them? Do you think its beneficial to read them again after year? Please share..

Hi didi.. hahaha... she is coming. Anyway, i have fun when i read old discussions. I like to see when you addressed me as shibham not bhai. No, i am not to respond 5 years old topic if the member is not active as i know that my response will be untouched. Have a nice day.

My old discussions were full of depression, so i do read them to realize how much improvement i have made in my condition comparing to then. ^^ That gives me a feeling that, there could always be a better tomorrow. I could have never thought i'd be able to do anyhting i do today, so it gives me hopes for future. :)

I don't read my old discussions, but I do read other old discussions found on the site. There are a ton of things that interest me that aren't regularly posted about. After a bit of digging I often find some really interesting topics.

I reread old discusions when I go to my unresolved discusions. I am lazy to give the award. Many times it is not easy to resolve which answer is better and I donĀ“t like to give it too soon. Many times , when I do that, I find other friends and other points of view for the same topic.

Hi marguicha.. You are right. sometimes its too hard to select the best among many standard responses. I have some discussions unresolved where i am still hanging on selecting the best one. I dont wish to deprive a mylotter who really deserves the best. Have a nice day.

Well, from time to time I have seen some of my Older discussions even responded back too which I actually feel is Great. It gives me a chance to reread some of the comments, and see if some of that stuff still holds True today. I know that with everything I have been thru and come here to talk about from time to time, it can be quite an interesting experience.

Hello there, Yes, I try to do that from time to time. I'm going to make the effort to do that more often because there are some interesting topics that deserve attention. I know for a fact that other myLot members are doing the same because I've recently gotten several responses to discussions that I started a year and sometimes 2 years ago. It may be part of what keeps this site going. That was a good question, thanks for posting it.

That's a cute way of looking at your discussions : children that need to be taken care of. Yes, I've been a member of myLot for a few years, but I haven't really worked the site on a regular basis. It's more of a hit and miss. I get busy with other projects. I do like it here though. You have a nice day too.

Hi shibham, No man, I have not never done so, I mean I have not read my own old discussions. Of course I have read other people's here. There s no doubt that reading your old discussion you can compare between the ones you are wring and the ones you wrote. Besides it helps if or not there has taken place in your perspective and overall bearing. Yes, self development is what we can start from such activities. All the best.

When we watch our past in any manner by seeing old photographs, reading old letters, we remind our old days. It is general thinking that past days was better than present. So you enjoying your past. I am active here from 2 months so I don't read by old respond and discussions.

Hi Shibham - Reading your discussion made me realized that I have not done that yet except for the old discussions with new comments. Maybe it's because I don't have much time to spend now here in MyLot. I am no longer able to visit my MyLot account everyday. I'm so busy with work, kids and then my small online business. If ever I have a spare time I might start doing that just to see on how much I have changed and improved on my comments and discussions. I think it's worth the time. I might even start leaving comments again just to re- live some of my comments and discussion and make it more interesting. Have a nice day!

I only go back to them when there is a new response I got from my old discussions or I have to give out my best responses. So I have to read each responses that I received for that discussion before deciding who gets the best response.

Hi sweet pea.. These are also some opportunities that we can look back on our old discussions. Its really a hard stuff to mark best response and have to read same discussion many times. Have a nice day.

LOL yes:) I was away for a long time and as I came back I felt I wanted to read some of the old discussions I posted. It was quite interesting to read them and like you there was a bit of laughter a bit more serious and a lot of memories :) I guess reading things we wrote way back, gives us an idea of our own growth and changes as a person, so yes I find it beneficial. They also might remind us of things almost forgotten, or of how something might have seen more important them and less now - or the other way around. It helps with perspective :)

It is really a bliss to read back old discussions as it brings back memories then. More importantly it helps me to see the improvement I have made over the years, from a newbie to today. At times, I am just amused I can write something which I am not able to right now. Sure, I feel it is beneficial to read old discussions as part of our own self-improvement.

Very well said friend. Its really a bliss as we can improve ourselves. We can evaluate our improvement by comparing the gaps of contribution. I better know that i have improved myself to some extend than yesterday. Have a nice day.

I think it might be a good thing to read older discussions, because it could really bring the nostalgic feelings, the fun everyone had here, especially if you're encountering tough times now. Not only that, you'll never know, you might find something that really changes your life. Maybe there's a post there that you thought wasn't there, and you only managed to find it when you reread the old discussion.

Yes, I do that sometimes, too. I'm almost one year old here at mylot, and I read my discussions then to see how much I've improved from then. Also, I love reading my comments that were voted best response. I do this usually when I'm feeling blue and need a boost.

But I do enjoy reading others old posts and seeing the then and now and it is quite fun actually to see the growth of not only the member but the site too.
