It was about three or four years ago when when i first heard the song Cool by Gwen Stefani. It reminded me of what my ex-boyfriend told me when he suddenly decided to stay away from me because i hurt him a lot. He told one of my friends at that time that he couldn't stand to see me as he was in real pain and who knows someday we might be friends again.
He got married first before I did but friends told me that he still loved me and would still ask for my number but they refused to give it to him as we had started our own family already.
I would like to tell him that time the lyrics to this song: I'd be happy for you if you could be happy for me.
I wanted us to be friends again but i think now that can't be since he moved to Europe with his family.

wow! it's good that you are both over each other. me and my lover are still together after 5 years. we are still really in love until now. but maybe if we broke up for some reason. for me I can't say that I can be happy for her if she'd found happiness other than me because I am always gonna be selfishly in love with her=) any way Good for you

We both have our own family now. He's married, I'm married! We definitely need to be over each other by now.

i love that song.. the lyrics says a lot.. sometimes it is hard for an ex couple to be friends let alone be civil to each other.. that is why, it's amazing if an ex couple can be really good friends.. i think it would be best that both of you move on since both of you already have a family of your own.. :)

I think we both have moved on already. We saw each other twice before he moved to Europe by accident. We even had a short conversation and he seems to be happy with his wife and three kids now.

It's not a rumor. It's true. The song is for Tony, the lead guitarist of her former band.
