I've had my boxer for 2 years and since she was so active and playful, thought that a new dog would be good for her. It was definantly an idea. I went to a fairly local shelter and saw the sweetest Husky mix and couldn't help but to bring her home. The new dog is great by herself...very laid back, gentle, and great with everyone that she comes in contact with. The boxer loves to get her all kinds of hyper and playful though. I guess that is what I wanted...I think I was hoping for a calm dog to teach our boxer how to chill, but didn't get that. Oh well. At least I feel like I made a significant difference in a dog's life and saved her...pretty much twice since if I didn't adopt her, they were going to put her down and then last week, there was a serious storm in the area and she may have ended up getting caught in that and might have been killed since there were 11 deaths from tornatos in the county. She is one lucky doggy...I know she loves and appreciates the new home I have given here :-)

Dogs sure are a joy to have around. I'm glad you got your Boxer a playmate. I think they need a companion as much as we do. Thank God you could rescue your new pet.
