i saw a site that advertises that you can earn money by answering surveys. however i am doubting this because i need to pay a membership fee with my credit card but i can earn by answering surveys. there are a lot of members testimonials in the site that i read as well but then again im not so sure if this is legit or those are just trolls put up to put a good testimonial. so what do you guys think? any opinions on this? or any of you have anything like this?

No dont do it. You should never give your card details out online, unless you are sure that the company is 100% legit, which this just does not seem to be. Survey sites are very hit and miss anyway, because the number of surveys you get depend on your demographics, so your location, age, marital status, number of children, job etc etc. I have signed up to many free survey sites, and hardly ever got any surveys because I'm not in their target group. Remember member's testimonials can easily be faked. Paypal proof, again, easy to fake. I wouldnt trust this in the slightest if I were you. The last thing you want is identity theft. If you have your identity stolen, you cant erase that. Its sold on all over the world. You damage your credit rating and it destroys your life. For the sake of possibly making $50 or whatever, it just isnt worth it.

thanks for the insight. i guess you have a very very good point. there could be an identity theft that would happen but then again i didn't sign up yet as i was getting as many opinions as possible. some people told me to go for it. but i was actually in doubt. so i posted it here maybe you guys could help my decision making. i do hope i wont make a wrong decision. i know some sites that are free that dont require a membership thing. can i go for that one instead?

Yeah, I would recommend that you sign up to the free survey sites. What I always do though, is put in slightly different details. So if your real name is joe bloggs, put in doh boggs, and if you were born in 1982, choose 1983 - little changes like that dont alter the feedback that they get from the survey, but it will protect your information. Survey sites often allow any company to request surveys from them, and you just dont know what they are likely to do with the information. If you put in slightly different information, your identity cant be stolen. This is another reason why signing up with your credit card is a bad idea, because you HAVE to put in the correct details, otherwise your account will not be verified properly.

Hee hee. Altering your profile also helps get more jobs. I never out and out lie, but I do use people I know (and who can answer the survey questions honestly for me). So far, I'm a spotty 16-year old game playing teenager with acne (my son); a pensioner with type 2 diabetes and a terrier (my mum); an IT consultant (my boss); a new car buyer (me in my dreams) and a dogsbody who buys all the groceries (me in real life.)

There are many free ones available, why pay for it? Think again...you are here to earn, not to spend. Look around. Whoever ask you to pay gets paid first.

I do not trust in earning sites with membership fee. You might earn money less than than your membership fee. So what's the earning in fact? These sites are intending mostly for them to earn money. There are many other sites one can earn without paying a fee to participate in surveys. You can find a lot of information on the internet about trustful earning sites.

hey ladyDD .. you are absolutely correct, there would be no earning part if you cant even take back what you paid for the membership fee.. im definitely not joining those kinds of sites.. i guess ive learned from all you guys who shared a few things in my discussions about this topic.. everyone here is really helpful.. thank you..

There are so many free paid survey sites out there; it's no reason to pay a membership fee with or without a credit card. You can use a search engine to find these sites by typing in "legitimate paid surveys". Here are some legitimate paid survey sites: Opinion Outpost, Survey Savvy, Test Spin, and Synovate. There are plenty of free paid survey sites out there. You are the only one should be getting paid.

We are supposed to make money, not give them money. It seems kinda backwards, doesnt it. I am a member of a lot of surveys myself, all free. Don't get many, because of one thing or another. Don't pay anybody, you have to be careful who you give your credit card info to. There are too many crazies out there waiting for us to slip up. Good luck.

thanks for the info bretay.. anyway i was not thinking of giving my cc info just yet.. i wanted to make sure first if someone whom i know had some close encounters with those kinds of sites.. unluckily none have tried thus far and i done wanna be the one to try it out.. lol.. id rather give my cc info to my family rather than give it to those sites.. thanks for your help.. you helped cleared my mind..

Hi theonehush Let's just think about this for a moment. Did you pay any money to myLot when you sign up? No, right? But myLot is paying you to participate in discussions. Any legitimate earning sites will never ask you to pay money in order to earn some money. Always remember that. It is good that you can use myLot for discussions such as this. Getting opinions from other myLot users about a certain site is always safer.

il keep that in mind jlyn.. thanks for that.. and i will keep an eye out for those scam sites.. and hopefully i wont be a member of any of them.. but mylot has definitely helped me a lot.. not in cash form yet since i have a lot more to go to get a pay out.. but then again this site has many good people around including yourself who take their time out of their busy life to help me out by answering my totally ridiculous question.. but really thank you.. some might be sincere some might be doing it for the money.. but who cares.. i know ive met good people here and im enjoying my stay here :) have a great weekend to you ..

Hi theone, Did you say "credit card" online? It is like crying "run for your life" as what I always do whenever I see it on a website that offers a lot of goodies for exchange of the credits I have. Good thing, I don't have a credit card or I would have fallen for such ruse a long time ago.

No, legit sites that pay you won't ever ask you for money to become their membership. Then it is probably a scam
