Hi all, At first, I used to dislike IPL but I began to watch it eagerly from second season because of Ravindra Jadeja winning performance for Rajasthan Royals in first IPL season finals. That was the first thrilling match i saw since the IPL commencement. I didn't believe his smashing fours was a reason for RR winning the first IPL cup. Later on, New players talents began to be proved like Shaun Marsh, Rohit Sharma, RP Singh, Siddharth Trivedi, Manvinder Bisla, Manpreet Goni,Shikar Dawn and more. And this season, no exception. None could take of their eyes from watching the incredible cricket of Paul Valthaty. I've been a great fan of him for past two weeks for both his batting and bowlng. He is 27 now and we have been missing him in Indian team for so long. I feel that he would have been given an early opportunity and even Ali Murtaza, Abu Nechim are bowling very well this season. What you think guys?

Hi jaffna, Immediately after the hype of the ICC world Cup IPL - 4 seemed an anti climax. I too thought I would not be so serious. But this season more or less all the teams are balanced. You might have observed that no team has so far remained virgin. The foreign players too are doing good. Leaving money thing apart what IPL has done is to bring the cricket talent for all to see. See the players like Valthaty, Pujara, Anirudh would hardly been exposed and find a berth in the national team. But I feel bad for Lalit Modi who initiated this and now kicked off

Hello Rajeev, if that is the case what the BCCI was doing the first two seasons? They should have kept vigil like there was debate on Kalmadi's fishy action on Commonwealth Games? Modi might indulge in corruption but he is the man who brought the heart beat to the game and we all have to accept the good.

Many time i had written this fact that IPL is giving the opportunity to the young players to prove what they are. You alredy had mentioned many of the players anme who had came out from Nowhere to prove that they have something in them and they must not be neglected. We had seen many batsmen and bowler in IPl emerging also IPl had exposed those who never get in the National team and didn't get noticed.

I agree with you that IPL has allowed us to find some real new talents. Yusuf Pathan was the find of the first IPL. Since then in every IPL at least one new player has caught the sight of the selectors. It has also helped senior players groom new youngsters who have a lot of talent. On the whole I am happy with the bench strength that IPL has helped India build. Cheers! Ram

IPL is show piece of Indian cricket not only for the outside world but for the Indian cricketers to prove themselves or get noted by the selectors and franchisees alike. The cricketers formerly used to score tons of runs and take wickets after wickets in Ranji trophy but nobody noticed them. Now one good innings in IPL and the cricketers get famous overnight like in case of Valthaty or Ravindra Jadeja. They are being noticed and followed immediately and are even picked for National team. Such is the power of IPL.
