Hi there tammy, you are not alone, I am petite type of woman too. I'm 23 not comfortable with heels too, I don't know if I even reach 5 feet. Oh well I am just saying all the time that "it's the brain that counts" and there are more smaller to us, right? Cheers!

At 5'8 1/2" I've always been considered tall and I love being this height. I just wish there were more taller men around. They seem to be shrinking. My daughter is 6'1" I would not want to be that tall...her daughter is even taller.

I'm short too. I'm 23 and I'm only 5'1". I love heels though. I don't do it often since I moved to a place with hills and it's hard to walk up and down hills in heels. I don't mind my height because I've learned to use my voice to remind people that I am there and I am a person too. On a side note, my favorite saying is, "I'm not short, I'm fun sized."

There are ways to boost your personality and I think 5ft is not bad at all. If you carry yourself confidently, admiration will be yours instead.

Besides you are beautiful, look at them straight on their eyes as you talk and with a smile. Practice that in front of the mirror and you will see the result.

Hello Ms. Tammy hope you won't mind me responding to your topic. You shouldn't be that concerned with your height 'coz there are seldom men that prefer tall women. What matters to us is how you present yourself with confidence. Its your aura and appeal that catches our attention... Though heels with medium size will improve how you walk with confidence.

hello tammy, I am also same with your height and i know how does it feels. But,the good thing is,i can run with my 4 inches high heels. Yes,that my best solution. You can try and practice with 2inches and then later try 3 inches until you get use to walking with high heels. have a great day

I am 5ft no inches also. Yay for the team :) but I don't let it get me down. Great things come in small packages. We fit in smaller places. The only thing hard is finding jeans, that fit my butt and aren't a mile long. I have to cut mine or wear heels with them. I am content with it though. This is who I am and how I was made and I am content with all of me. I used to want to be taller, more chest, less freckles, but now I have learned to love it and appreciate my uniqueness.

A person's charm and x-factor doesn't rely on what kind of shoes you wear. Five feet is not too short, so long as you maintain your ideal weight. Put on your best smile always and I am sure you would stand out in a crowd.Choose the best hairstyle that complements your face and complexion. Dress like your a confident person ready to interview the President of your country. (^_^)

Hi Tammy! I know I shouldn't be here, I mean, I'm a guy! LOL! What I intend to say is that you shouldn't be concerned about your height to that extent. It's guys who are supposed to be concerned about their height. Because too short guys don't look good but when it's about girls, they are beautiful anyway. And 5 feet for girls don't make them look bad, as I've already said, girls are beautiful anyway. You should try wearing heels though, because even the tallest women do that! So be happy, and don't worry!

It is no imperfection if a girl is short, it's very cute actually. Females are supposed to be small, especially in Asia (for example, average female height in Philippines is 4ft 11 1/2 inches). I would feel ridiculous if my girlfriend was taller than me. In my country we have a kinky rhyming saying: Mala, vrtka, dobre trka. It means: Short, dexterous, she f***s good ;-) We also say: What is small is cute. I saw your photo and I would definitely glance back at you if I met you on the street, no matter how tall you are. So cheer up!

I think you just have to accept your height. I'm also not contented with my height but I try everything to love myself as who I really am. There's a girl in my class, she's very small but lots of guys in our school like her. She's working it! And other taller girls are actually getting jealous of her because of that. I think what's important is your confidence.

I think we all have some form of issue with our height. You see, I am female, currently 21 years of age, and I have a height of 5'6". I do thank the Lord for blessing me with this height but recently some friends and family have noted that I still added height. I have not yet confirmed it by measuring but usually, people around you can tell if you've gained weight or added height. Still, I thank the Lord for giving me the "added bonus", and Im not complaining but Dear Lord, Im quite happy with my height before. Anyway, my issue with having this height is that most guys I meet are shorter than me or around the same height as me. I do wish that my guy would be taller than me. Other than that, Ive always stuck out like a sore thumb whenever Im with my friends and I really dont need the attention.LOL Well, you're still young so there might be hope for you yet. Goodluck and enjoy your God-given attributes.

I have been petie all of my life. i was never happy to be short. i always wanted to be taller like most of my friends. I always thought that i was missing something because my height was notwhat i wanted it to be. Looking back now it doesn't seem like such a big deal to ce short. when i was younger it was all that consumed my thoughts during the school years.

HI Tammy, there is nothing to dishearten of your height and you are not alone around the globe you will find there are several people who are short but that doesn’t stop them from living there life to the fullest. However, if anytime you feel low because of your height you can think about the people who are shorter than you and you can cheer yourself and I am very sure you will find atleast few if not many around you who are less than 5 feet. I have heard about artificial stretching which has a high success rate in increasing height but its painful and therefore I would not want you to go for it but just wanted to share this with you. Remember the true accomplishment of man lies not in what man has, but in what man is.
