Do you read pocketbooks in public places? I do! I often bring a book with me especially if i know i would be traveling far or would have at least travelled about 45 minutes so basically i read my books in public transports because it helps keep my mind of the traffic or the long travel time. What about you?

Me too. It is not just limited to pocket book but any kind of books. When I am waiting for the bus or train to come I will read, waiting for someone I will find something to read. If I don't have or did not bring any book to read I will buy at least a magazine or newspaper so I will not waste my time while waiting for them.

I also read in public places. I think it is a little less rude than say watching a video on your phone. Alot of times I can finish a book while waiting for one thing or another.

I read whenever I can, which is why I used to carry a book with me all the time. These days though, I don't go anywhere where there would be wait time or down time so I haven't been doing a lot of reading in public spaces. I don't see anything wrong with it, and it's a way to be productive on an otherwise "lost" time. :)

I do, especially if i have to wait for long hours. But i dont read when im at a public transport because im having a hard time reading. Its a nice way to ease the boredom. Its also convenient to read ebooks on mobile applications. You dont have to bring the thick paperback novel that youve been wanting to finish.

in public places, yes i try to carry around something to read, usually a novel. when i'm waiting for someone or being in a long line, a book is worth bringing. but in public transportation or in any moving vehicle, i find it dizzying to read and will feel nauseous afterward.

I would rather listen to an audio book. I will read a magazine because well if I got engrossed in a book, I would miss what is going on. I also find that if I read in a car, I get car sickness and hardly take public transportation. The danger is not that someone will ask "why are you reading that," but that I might miss the stop.

I do it as well. I usually read, when I'm awaiting for an appointment, or when I'm on the bus, or something like that. I generally do it when I'm waiting or traveling alone. I find that it passes the time.

I love to read but not really in public. The noise distracts me easily. And reading in a transportation makes me feel dizzy. I have tried reading while I was at the beach but never really understood what I was reading so I stopped and just joined the group talk.

Usually yes but it will be before the I ride the public or other transports. I can't read while riding any transportation because I will get headache and feel dizzy if I do so and I hate to sleep while travelling so most of the time I will just look put the views before I reach the destination. But I will make sure to bring along books with me so I could read before I start my journey.

I like to read books in places like a cute and comfortable coffee shop or I have really gorgeous parks here. I work at home and I'm all day trapped here, so often, I feel like I need run away from here. So I like to take a book, a car, some money and I go to some nice and open place in the city to read a bit and clear my mind.

Yes, I read a book in a public place, especially when I know I'll be waiting for a long time. When my friends decide to meet, they're usually late so I have to wait for them. So I read a book to pass the time. When I'm waiting for the bus to start on its journey, I read a book. It usually keeps the world off of me! xD

I do. It makes drs appointments and waiting on things go by much faster. And it's the only time I really get to read.

I don't like to read on public transportation or any other kind of moving vehicle. Because the vehicle is always in constant motion and sometimes bumps into things. Then my mind would get distracted and I can't concentrate on the book I am reading. I also like to read in a quiet place with not much people around me talking. Its just my preference for a quiet place to read.
