Guild Wars 2 set to change MMOs forever.

Hey game fans, I know some of you have probably played MMOs like World of Warcraft or Aion or the original Guild Wars, so I'm wondering what people who've seen previews of the upcoming GW2 or even played a demo at PAX think about it. From what I've read, it will begin to do away with the tried and true "collect quest, complete quest, fall asleep from boredom" mechanics that games like Rift can't seem to let go of, but will it work? Guild Wars 2 is the most anticipated MMO in recent years, and after 5 years in development, it will be here SOON. I'm looking forward to the changes in the standard formula, how about you?
Do you like playing with millions of other people at once? What's your favorite MMO?

My faviourate MMO atm is world of warcraft, i recently tried rift ( you can find my views on rift in a discussion i just started :P .
I have played wow for 4 years and GW2 looks good, but just as rift is fun, its very hard to leave a game you have played for many years behind!
