how did your city gets its name?

So,how did your city get it's name?
I live in the largest city in the metropolitan area, in manila. Our city's name is Quezon City and the name was from the last name of our former president, Manuel Quezon. The city is not his birth place but if does have a memorial here and its huge wit museum and a park where most people go to during Sundays.

I live in India in a city named Jaipur.
My city, Jaipur, got its name after the name of King Sawai Jai Sing. He ruled over our state Rajasthan which was previously known as Rajputana. He made Jaipur his capital and constructed many beautiful historical monuments and his palace in Jaipur.
