I ate my pet!

We not now of course because I have a turtle now and I love him/her (don't really know) to death! Haha. But yes, when I was a kid, I used to have a pet chicken that I raised from an egg. We even had an incubator and chicken house (or whatever its called) built just for it. But then one day, my parents said my pet ran away. We all know what that means right? I was sad to lose my pet of course. Then that very day, surprisingly we had chicken for lunch. Yes it was my chicken. Now I was young and oblivious back then so I never recognized my beloved pet on the table and went on eating. To my parents' surprise I suddenly paused and said: "sayang, sana yung manok ko nlng kinaen ntin!" ("Its too bad my chicken ran away. We could have just eaten it instead of this one"). So there, thats how I ended up eating my pet. :( Don't judge me! :)) I loved my pet chicken. But I apparently loved fried chicken more.
