Why is facebook very popular now in the philippines?

it used to be friendster is the most widely used social networking site in the philippines. but early last year things change a lot . all of the sudden this not so known facebook became the most popular social networking site in the country . When facebook was so popular in other countries ,people here don't give too much attention to it till early last year. I didn't think that the people here would be one day be a heavy face book user .

It's because Facebook has a good applications. It has games.It has a simple, neat page. You can also use it for businesses, fan pages or something. It has chatbox as well for easy access. It is well made for short. :)

that's true . there are so many applications and things we can do in this one which was not available in friendster. maybe that's why all users from friendster have shifted to facebook.
