what is the hype about iPad2?

can anyone with real sound knowledge tell me what is the hype about this iPad2, so many people are talking about it and desire it, why? I did miss something while all this hoopla was going around.

It's just a new product but it is very good. The new things are (HD) camera on back, Camera on the front, HDMI mirroring, imovie, garageband, faster, thinner, lighter, better graphics, gyroscope and smart covers.

That does sound impressive and explains the price, sorry I am from old school and can't make head or tail about all these new gadgets.

The iPad2 is like a tablet PC. It has almost the same apps as the iPod Touch but it has a larger display, perfect for reading e-books or watching movies. I personally want to buy one someday as it is lighter than a laptop and it would be great for my online jobs so that I can still do them without carrying a heavy laptop. I just need a wifi connection and I'm good to go. I also like reading books but I don't like the burden of carrying a lot when I travel and the iPad is a very good gadget where I can read my e-books.
