I am aware that newborn babies see contrasting colors like black, white, and red. But I am not sure about the upside down view theory. Maybe it would be helpful if you can post your source here.

sorry, my bad. Maybe you can post the entire information about newborn's vision being upside down. I'm curious, too. You see, I have a two-month old son, and I'm trying to learn everything there is to learn about visual stimulation for newborn babies...

That's not cool at all. Imagine seeing things upside down and in black&white, would it be cool seeing that way? Upon knowing that, I'd say it's awful. New born babies are having an awful life.

Come on! Awful?! Are those babies able to recognize that seeing things black and white and upside-down is awful? Of course not. I don't think they don't even feel that "awfulness" that you are talking about. Thanks for the response though.

Yep it's awful. Even dogs know what awful means, you know.

how exactly was it determined that new born babies see upside-down and in black and white? If it is true, it is pretty cool, but just curious as to how it was determined?

Hi altirbonganay: I didn't know this until I've read your discussion. I have made a research on the net and it seems that you are right. But it's nortmal. It takes some time for the babies to develop their vision sense. Thanks for sharing with us this information. ALVARO

Useful bit of information.I as my predecessors are curious to know how this has been arrived at.The researches must be lauded for making this discovery.I wonder at what age the babies get normal vision?
