What does he wants from you? Why don't you inform your bestfriend about it? Or just tell the guy that If he still continue that actions you will tell your bestfriend about it..

I would do whatever i could to hang onto my befriend's friendship. I would tell let boyfriend know that i was not interested in that kind of relationships with him. Best friendships are not something to discard so easily.

Maybe the guy only wants to know more about your best friend and doesn't wnat to let your friend know so he can surprise her.. Make sure you ask what he wants from you first before you say no. Maybe his intentions are good.

Wow how sad for your friend to have such a terrible boyfriend this way. I see you commented that she already knows, so perhaps it was best this occurred so that you were able to inform her of what a terrible person she was seeing. Unfortunately he was not worthy of her as a girlfriend, because as an unspoken rule this should not occurred. I wonder if he actually though you would go for it and not let her know.
