well for some time I've seen this tab under discussions "hot" i checked it out, but don't understand why these discussion are under this tab. what dose it take to be in this section? is it up to the mylotter or the owner of mylot. how would one get their discussion there? is it some thing that i have to have a cretin amount of people responding to the discussion or something alone those lines. well hope to find out more. thank in advance for you input.

I think its all about how hot the topic is. All about how many people respond to the topic. If more and more people are responding to the same topic, it might be considered HOT as everyone is interested and commenting/responding to the discussion. Thats what I think atleast.. I could be wrong

thats what i thought, but there have been many time where I've gotten a lot of people to respond to my discussion and yet it was never under that tab. i just saw a discussion with about 7 responses and i know I've gotten more then that, so there has to be more to it that the amount of responses. well thanks for taking the time to respond. if i find out more then I'll let you know or post a discussion about it. have a good day and keep on mylotting.

sisco we mylotters have no say in whatis considered hot. All I can sat is its the admins that pick out what they think if hot. I imagine if your discussion has garnered a lot of response and the back and fort is lively thats the thing that draws the admins attention. they call it hot.I have had several discussions show up under the hot tab. One had over 100 responses and had to do with should healthy people give up their seats in a bus for pregnant women and frail elderly p eople. In other words discussions that appeal and have some substance. How do I make money in mylot is not one that admins would call hot. its redundant and frankly to me its boring. to begin with all of us should have read the guidelines and the FAQ's first before starting to mylot.

As I said above Hatley, 'hot' topics are not decided by admin. If you (or me or anyone else lol) starts a topic right now and it receives a response and we comment on it and the user, or others, come and comment, and we go back and further the topic and then more responses with more counter comments appear, then the topic will become 'hot'. The more activity the 'hotter' it will be. It will remain in that list for no longer than 24 hours from when it was first posted.
