Can the Unionistas even buy a break anymore?
They are losing battle after battle in Wisconsin. But here, at least they can blame the Republicans and Conservatives, since the Dairy State is pretty much a 50/50 proposition in any statewide issue.
But now Massachusetts? Democrats?
What is going on in the corrupt world of the unions when they can't even convince their own supporters to um... support them?
A bunch of years ago, the unions saw the writing on the wall... when their market share of the private sector workers fell below 20%, they had to do something... anything...
So they turned their sights on the public sector.
This worked for a while, but it never really increased the percentage of US workers willing to join up... but it did reduce the flow from arterial bleeding to venous.
But now, what can they count on when Massachusetts Democrats are "pulling a Scott Walker"? Who are the unions going to rally against... There own?
Yeah, that could happen, since the union leaders have no problem putting union workers in Wisconsin out of work.
So what do you think?

Perhaps they see the writing on the wall? I think the Democrats are running scared, scared they won't get reelected if they continue to ignore the will of the majority.

They really pulled the rug out from under them with this one. The unions had big protest rallies scheduled, so they voted late at night before any of it happened.
The union leaders immediately condemned the legislature. After all, they said, we've contributed to their campaigns, worked for them, given them lots of money. How dare they not stay bought?
So the Dems in Massachusetts got tough on unions to save the state. But, do they mean it? Or is this just their way of looking tough while they fully expect Patrick Deval Obama to veto it?
I don't know what will happen with this bill, but in Massachusetts, just the concept of such a thing is so totally uncharacteristic... it's... it's.. it's hope and change!!!

Wow, this is really encouraging! Not the issue so much but the fact that there are Democrats that are using their brains. Dems are all about feelings, usually, and thought doesn't seem to enter into the equation. Maybe there's hope for this country.
