Will an impeachment case ends with a resignation.

The biggest news here today is the resignation of Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez. The senators are relief that she had done it than by remaining firm and holding her position. But what are we (Filipinos) are after on each impeachment case that we start? Is it only to replace the existing leadership or to know the truth? We must not stop pursuing the case merely because of the resignation of Ombudsman Gutierrez. I hope her resignation is accompanied with regrets for the wrong things that she had done, she should regret serving only a certain boss not his countrymen. And I hope too that there are more honest and brave government people that would be put in significant places in the government who will protect the interest of all Filipino people.

It would be useless to undergo the impeachment proceedings since Merci Gutierrez already resigned.
However, the criminal charges against her should proceed to ensure that justice will be served against the corrupt government officials that connived under the dirty administration of Arroyo to plunder Filipino people's money.

I would only say if your a politician you are in a game where u put down the cards of your life and your love ones on the table. All I could say if the politician is HONEST and independent expect if they werent killed they were imposed as corruptors. I dont trust the justice in our country even the politician was CAUGHT in the act by the latest technology. MONEY and CONNECTIONS would only deminish their acts. :I Whatever happen to Ombudsman I hope justice prevails and the impeachment must be continued...
