in most schools, teachers prefer to judge a student by his grades.moreover, examination is used as a chief means of deciding whether a student succeeds or fails in his studies. i think that examination is only a way to check out one's process of studies,it doesn't matter you get a good or bad result in the end. maybe,we will make a change and devise something more efficient than examination.

Well i believe that examinations or test in school is important but not as important that it is the only basis if a student is good or not. But don't really know on how we can change something that usually works.

Examinations are a helpful way to assess if a student really understood the lesson and learned something from it, so I think it is just right for it to be the basis of grades..What do you suggest then?

Y'mean like continuous assessment? Already being done, at least in universities. Instead of one or two exams that count for the whole grade, they also grade on class participation, lab reports, assignments, etc.

Examinations do determine a student's progress in studies. However, it does not really have to apply in the real world. It's different from the jobs that you are going to take on. It's difficult but it's the way it is. I agree that it does not really matter if you get a good grade or a bad grade. As long as you do know how to make wise decisions in life. It's all a matter of choice in the end.

Examination is a means to check a student's ability ,but not the only way and last way to judge a student.we hope we can use other ways to check a student.
