Do you think it was necessary to have the continued coverage of the Royal Wedding in the United States yesterday? I am happy for William and Kate but really didn't find it necessary to air continued coverage almost all day. I think one channel airing the actual ceremony would have been sufficient.

It is really normal and natural to continue the coverage of the Royal Wedding because by replaying it that is the chance that other people can watch it especially for those people who are interested but wasn't able to watch the live coverage.
I don't have any idea of what time in United States that the live coverage was aired it could be 4:00 to 7:00 in the morning but let's just say that not all people were able to wake up early in the morning to watch the live coverage or some people are already in school and work or they are already preparing on their way going to their respective schools and offices. Maybe the only chance that people can watch it straight is by evening time that a lot of people are already comfortable to see it.

It wasn't necessary, however, I think we all deserved a break from the usual bad news don't you think?
I mean, yeah it's their wedding, we're not part of it, but how many times do we get to experience Royal Weddings anyway? What is but one day?
I am not in the United States but when the World Trade Center was attacked and such, the news filled that incident for weeks. Nobody complained because we thought it was really sad and we'd hope everyone would be alright.
Now, that there's something good, can't we just enjoy it for a day? :)Further, news centers were the ones who covered it, only a few of other cable channels did and the shows were on schedule.
I appreciated the news covering the wedding. Somehow, a little girl in me was reminded that regardless how things are in the world today, there are good things as well - nothing shows true love than seeing someone get married, how much more a prince and a princess?
I think you'd rather see that than discussions about Obama's Birth Certificate, don't you?
