Holland's Economic Status

Are there any Hollanders out there? I had been thinking of moving to Holland because there's this guy that i .... well you know... And because of this, i had been contemplating on enrolling in Dutch language so that i could possibly get me employment. How is Holland's economic status lately? What is your employment rate lately?

When I was at university we students got the chance to go to live in a different country for one semester. I lived a student shared house with one Dutch girl, two German girls, one Scottish girl and one English boy. I went to classes with post gradute Dutch students and also had Dutch language classes. Dutch people are masters of foreign languages and when I tried speaking them in Dutch they spoke back to me in English my mother tounge language. My German friends got spoken back to in German. So unlike the situation learning French in France or German in Germany living in the Netherlands it is challenging to be able to practice speaking Dutch. The Netherlands is a really lovely place to live and Dutch is a nice sounding language. All of Europe seems to be in a recession at the moment.
