Hand Sanitizer - Good or bad?

I am writing this sort of as a response to a myLot user who asked the question whether or not the use of hand sanitizer is 100% effective. I am not sure of the effectiveness of hand sanitizers but I wanted to pose a different question. Is the use of hand sanitizer actually causing the opposite effect that we are looking for? I am not sure of that either but I have read and listened to many reports indicating that the use of all these types of products actually hurts us by not allowing our immune systems to encounter certain germs and build up antibodies to them. Has anyone read these sorts of reports? What do you think of these theories?

Would you rather be a weakling who doesn't do ANY work, or a super-strong mass-of-muscle that has to pull long hours at the gym to keep it up? Those are the two extremes this makes me think of (either having an ultra-clean environ and NEVER getting sick, or bathing in pools of germs and keeping your immune-system strong.) Of course, I take The Middle Way. Like Jesus Christ. "Wash it in the river," He says.
