Harry Potter fan clubs? Do you think they exist, would you join one?

I've been a HP fan since I was about 7, when the first movie came out. Since then I've read all the books, and seen all the movies, and am impatiently waiting for Deathly Hallows Pt. 2! Is anyone else as huge a fan as me? I've completely immersed myself in the HP world, knowing all sorts of background details about lore, history, monsters, spells, etc. I know this is a bit nerdy but I can't help it, the modern magic of Harry Potter is just too interesting and original to pass up. Well, I can't completely call it original, but it's definitely a new take on magic. Would anyone know of a physical (by physical I don't mean online, but as in an actual meeting with physical people) HP fan club in Chicago? I'd love to join and meet!

It's amazing to see that J.K. Rowling's books have a fanbase all over the world including India, it's really cool to meet a fan across the globe! An online fan club would be really neat to start although I'm sure there's plenty already in existance. I recently watched "Yes Man" with Jim Carrey and in the movie, his boss had a HP party and everyone watched the movies and were dressed up and stuff, I thought it was pretty cool!

I have been a Harry Potter fan since I was 11. I haven't really read all the books, they were just so thick and long for me- I only read the 6th one.. but I never missed a movie and I read fanfiction too. I am sure there is a fans club everywhere in the world, you can just look it up on facebook..

You really should have read all the books, I find them much more entertaining than the movies (although the movies are spectacular, I can't wait to see Deathly Hallows part 2!!). I have also read fanfiction and I like it, which is why I should start a fan club somewhere haha! I don't use shamebook though.
