i just opened a topic in this interest, it was about discriminating Gothic people. and i have read so many comments asking what a Goth is, or how to be a Goth, or how to determine if he/she is a Goth or not. well basically, Goth is a person who appreciates the darker side of things. say for example, if most people hate those cobwebs simply because they're dirty, Gothic people dont look at those cobwebs as nothing but dirt, but they use the design of it as make up. but that doesnt mean Goths dont like cleaning, they just see more to those cobwebs than simply being a dirt. Goths are people who appreciate the darker side. if people that dark and death are twins and they hate it, Goths appreciate more to death and darkness and they dont see it as pain negativity. any questions will be answered, so feel free to drop them , mylotters.. :)

Why oh why? Everything you said above is true. However, I think you missed one important point of the whole Gothic subculture: The music. The whole gothic subculture, and I say WHOLE, including the fashion, the attitude, the personality, the gatherings, everything, revolves under the passion for music. What music? It's Gothic rock of course.

Gothic people are but people with unique attributes. They are so much like gays, blacks and differently able individuals. It is unfair to judge gothic people based on their physical attributes. What they do with their bodies and how they express their individuality must not concern us, especially if they don't meddle with our affair themselves.
